Vancouver-Made Wood Stain Works With Water To Help Get Soggy Summer Projects Back on Track.

The dismal Vancouver Summer of 2011 has many homeowners putting off staining their decks, staining siding or staining fences, waiting for a string of sunny days that may never come. But thanks to Vancouver’s CBR Products they can get started now with BRODA® PRO-TEK-TOR™, an innovative water-based oil stain that does not require wood to be totally dry for application.

Vancouver, BC- Traditional solvent-based wood stains require many days of hot, sunny weather before they can be used – nice work if you can get it.
BRODA® PRO-TEK-TOR™ is a natural oil wood stain that uses water as its carrier, so cooler weather and wood that is not perfectly dry are no problem. CBR Products formulates wood stain and architectural coatings for the Coast Mountain environment, offering Canadians products that work even when the sun takes a whole season off.

They also advise customers on the best ways to stain and finish when the weather is not cooperating.

“Depending on the surface of your deck, fence or siding, you may only need one day of dry weather to get the job done.” Says CBR Products President Bill Willis. “Pressure-treated wood that has never been coated just needs to be power-washed, then dried on the surface for BRODA® PRO-TEK-TOR™ to soak right in. For a brand new deck, or wood that needs to be re-finished, it just has to be dry enough to be sanded. Two or three days of clear weather and you could be sanding and staining. After coating, just make sure the project is protected so any rain doesn’t hit the BRODA® surface until it’s dry. Then when the hot weather really hits, you’re at the beach, in the lake or golfing instead of working.”

The BRODA® line also includes water-based CLARITY Acrylic and PRO-THANE Urethane finishes. All BRODA® products are low-VOC and clean up with soap and water. For more info, call 1-888-311-5339, visit http://www.cbrproducts.com or email info@cbrproducts.com
