For 15 years Roger Jaques has specialized in wood restoration and preservation. His services include removing failed coatings and weathering from log homes, timber frames, post and beam houses, siding, wooden windows, decks and more. Once a clean and renewed substrate has been revealed he applies ProTekTor Natural Wood Oil, for a durable and easy to maintain finish that still shows the natural beauty of the wood. Skookum Log Care is owned and operated by Dana Crowe, who started the business after apprenticing with a number of experts in this fieldj. Traveling extensively through BC and Alberta, Dana realized that there was a real need in these regions for her highly specialized skills. The number of log homes owners is constantly increasing, but many of these people aren't aware of the specialized care that a log home needs.

Dana has a real passion for the natural beauty inherent in wood and as such focuses on preservation, maintenance and restoration techniques which enhance rather than mask the unique characteristics of each and every log. Approaching each project as a custom job, Dana takes into careful consideration the weather, climate, history and the usage of your home, in order to recommend the most appropriate procedures and products.
