Capilano University’s Community Garden is up and running, thanks to the hard work of the Projects in Place Society and a dedicated group of generous volunteers. The garden project features 67 raised bed planters, a tool shed, concrete stools and a hydroponics table – not bad for a weekend’s work.
The Projects in Place Society is a volunteer-run non-profit society that brings construction professionals together with the public to implement projects that benefit communities.
Projects in Place co-founder Bryce Gauthier is a landscape architect with Sharp & Diamond Design. He’s also a BRODA ® coatings customer, and we were proud to help with some product for this great project.
They used BRODA ® PRO-TEK-TOR Siding Log Timber Natural Oil Wood Stain on the posts, BRODA ® PRO-TEK-TOR Deck & Rail on the tables and BRODA ® Clarity Wood Stone Acrylic Coating on the cement cylinders. Four custom colours from the Capilano University handbook were matched by Jamie at the CBR Products shop.
