Thompson Rivers University TRU Build Pit-House

This video is a time lapse sequence of a log structure created for a building at Thompson Rivers University. The build employed a creative use of “Glue-Lam” timbers and specially prepared, beetle killed pine. The design was to evoke the feel of the traditional pit-houses of the local First Nations people. Built by Nicola Logworks with timbersĀ  pre-stained by Structurlam with 2 factory applied coats of Broda Clarity Wood/Stone tinted to our 012 Woodlands Clear colour. Pretty cool stuff!
